The Center for Digital Economy and Technology (BK Fintech), Hanoi University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM), is pleased to host the 1st International Conference on Digital Economy and Technology in Hanoi, Vietnam on June 15, 2024.
This event aims to share outstanding scientific research in the fields of Digital Technology and Digital Economy, while nurturing and supporting innovative ideas in the Fintech sector.
Overview of the ECOTECH 2024 Conference
At the conference, participants had the opportunity to engage with and learn from cutting-edge research presented by leading scientists, including Prof. Lim Kian Guan (Singapore Management University), Dr. Thang Hoang (Virginia Tech, USA), and Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Xuan Hoai (Director of AI Academy). The event also featured discussions on emerging trends and applications in the Fintech sector, such as artificial intelligence and quantitative finance.
Meanwhile, the competition brought together eight outstanding teams, shortlisted from 34 submissions, who delivered compelling presentations before a panel of five respected judges — all of whom are directors or deputy directors of Fintech companies and organizations.
The First Prize was awarded to Team Spine Finance, comprised of two Vietnamese students currently studying in the United States, for their promising solution, Spine Protocol.
